positive thinking how positive is that?

Positive thinking oh it is such a big positive thing...
we have speakers who make their lives spreading the gospel of positive thinking and the positive vibrations...

But, the big question is how good is this positive thinking?

let me get it straight!
You take a patient who is having fever 103 degrees...ask him to do a 100 meters...well he is a person with immense will power.... finishes it with honors...ask him to do 5 km telling him that yes he can do it.... the poor man does the 5km not with honors but just like that ...now the positive thinking guru asked him to do the marathon

holy shit, the poor man collapsed at 10 km.. and it seems he even got his head injured in the process....and was taken by ambulance to the hospital ...
we do not know if he is going to survive and even if he survives how long will it take him to recover...even if he recovers how much it would be without scars and permanant impairment nobody knows...

the poor man did listen to the guru of positive thinking and followed it with ll his heart....

Let me make it more clear with a depression patient ex;
instead of a patient with 103 degree fever let us take a patient in severe depression and tell him that he can do wonders(like the above fever man running 100m,5 km, marathon...).
My point is that the very depressed person is not ready for success and is very fragile even if he wanted to pursue...
when we urge the very depressed person to not to accept his shortfalls and ask him to leap he will have more probability to fall & fail and injure him further than ......rarely succeed . Even a blind man can rarely shoot the stone into the pitcher....

My point is that when someone is very depressed/broke they are of very least capability and  that is a reality. They are of least productivity. They have to accept the lowness of their life which is  a very much reality!
If they accept themselves to be very low:
The advantage is that they have the least chance of being disappointed with themselves. when they face another failure they will not be disappointed since they know that they cant expect success but failures more often because of their present state of life. It is like acceptance ( Kubler Ross model). no disappointment, no aggravation of grief.... Instead positive thinking is like denial phase to that miserably depressed... and their positive thinking will push them into further depression with each failure!

  The fact is that the very depressed is not the same he or she that used to be when things were normal...the sooner the acceptance the sooner the grief is lightened. The less you will have expectations over yourself and the more you would be happy for achievements even though they are very minor....above all the more you will be at comfort with yourself! ... the more productive you would be...
It is like a patient with fever taking rest or reading some books on the bed instead of breaking himself over some rigorous task...

 When you are weak you have to accept that you are weak, instead if you try to do wonders you will break yourself and in the process you will weaken yourself further and may be even forever....

My only point is that its human to fail and positive thinking tries to ignore that fact...
so positive thinking is something that should be banned?
no not really,  positive thinking helps but to be able to get the advantage of positive thinking one should be ready!  i am trying to say how positive thinking will stress a very depressed man who is constantly seeing failures ...so, the very depressed man if accepts his tendency to fail and thus lessening his grief and slowly nurturing himself.. can better his situation than with rude positive thinking!

  and after a good time when the very depressed becomes just a depressed person or little depressed then he can change gears to positive thinking(?) and can dream for wonders and could keep working for it?
but, still its the most natural thing for the game is to have a winner and loser. So even both the sides have positive thinking one has to fail.... If you can accept that result and continue your endeavor, positive thinking helps otherwise it will bring you down
  so, beware with positive thinking.
well even after saying all this I am not goading you to take your failures as final; I am just asking you to realise that for that state of your life and your efforts failures was the natural outcome so accept it, understand it but never give up your hope and continue your persistence.

persistence is the key....

 and then one day you can embrace positive thinking with maturity and success would be your soon...! let me call that positive thinking with maturity as productive thinking....!
